Privacy Policy

Navio (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a vehicle-aware route planning service. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using Navio, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data We Collect

Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google or create a credentials account.
Vehicle profiles — year, make, model, fuel type, MPG, and any nickname you assign.
Home address — stored as a formatted address and Google Place ID if you choose to save one for “Heading Home” routing.
Saved routes — origin, destination, waypoints, and route name.
Routing preferences — preferred fuel brands, chain preferences, local gems toggle.
Subscription status — your current plan (free or Pro) and billing period, synced from Stripe.
Usage analytics — page views, feature interactions, and events collected via Google Analytics (GTM) and PostHog. This data is anonymized and aggregated.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide route planning, stop recommendations, and personalization features.
To authenticate you and maintain your session.
To process subscription payments and manage your Pro plan.
To improve the product based on aggregated usage patterns.
We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Navio relies on the following services to operate:

Google — OAuth sign-in, Maps routing, and Places API for stop discovery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Navio never stores card details. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare — Hosting, edge computing, and database storage (D1). Data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure with encryption at rest.
PostHog — Product analytics for understanding feature usage. Data is not shared with advertisers.
Google Analytics (via GTM) — Aggregate traffic and conversion metrics.

4. Cookies

Navio uses cookies to maintain your authentication session and for analytics (Google Analytics, PostHog). Analytics cookies can be blocked via your browser settings; this does not affect core functionality.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Saved routes, vehicles, and preferences are deleted when you delete your account. Analytics data is retained per the policies of Google Analytics and PostHog respectively.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@mynavio.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Navio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date. Continued use of Navio after changes constitutes acceptance.
